All The questions you don't need to be afraid to ask
We believe in educating our customers. Here are some answers to questions we frequently get from customers. If you have other questions don’t hesitate to call or ask next time you drop by!
There are two major reasons why sex toy maintenance is so paramount. For starters, bacteria. Even if your a sex toy isn’t inserted into the vagina or anus, there’s still bacteria involved, especially with bodily fluids. Secondly, you want your sex toys to last! If you’re investing a decent amount of cash into a vibrator, anal plug, or whatever else gets you off, then you don’t want it to crap out a couple months down the road. We recommend any anti-bacterial soap or spray to clean your toy. Leave out to air dry.
Sugar, and glycerin are well known for the fact that if inserted they can cause yeast infections. Many massage oils, and flavored lubes contain sugar. One question to your local sex guru can help you to know what is going to be best for your vagina, and you. The same goes for lubes with glycerin in them. For example: Use flavored lubes and oils as body toppings or topical genital applications. You never want to get the sugary sweet stuff in your hoo-ha.
There are a few lubes that can actually damage toys. You have to be careful. For example Silicone lubes with silicone toys will break down the outer material. Make sure to double check with your sex guru to be sure. You wouldn’t want to ruin a $50 toy by using the wrong lube.
Just like the above question. If you use condoms you need to be sure the lube you use isn’t going to cause them to break. Your sex guru will be able to tell you the good, the bad, and the ugly about all the lubes they carry.
More than once, I have went home after a sex shop excursion to figure out that I had bought the wrong batteries. There is nothing that dries me up more than having to go all the way back to the store to get the right size batteries. Toy descriptions and boxes state what size batteries are needed.
